Show product data

The attached product data can be displayed from within Product Information Center and from Bill Of Materials as well.

Displaying form within Product Information Center

• Select a product from the search results.
• Select the Properties button from the toolbar. The product data window will be displayed.

Displaying from within Bill Of Materials

• Select an linked item from the bill of materials. By default an item that is linked to a product group from Product Information Center has a blue or green font color. See Link a row to a product group for more information on how to link to a product group.
• Select Linked product information from the Edit menu. This is only possible when the item is linked to a product group.
  The product data window will be displayed.

 
By selecting one of the following tabs, the according product data will be visible.

• General tab
  General product data.
  The data on this page will be used for the main search criteria in Product Information Center.
• Properties tab
  The custom creatable properties of the product. You can create these properties depending on the branch you work in.
• Supplier tab
  The supplier(s) of the product (group).
• Documents tab
  Here you can find the attached documents like manuals, certificates, drawings, installation manuals, etc.
• Remarks tab
  General remarks can be entered at this tab.

If the product is "locked", then it is not possible to edit the data. First you have to "unlock" this product, by selecting unlock from the toolbar. It may be possible that you need certain permissions to unlock the product. See setting user permissions for more information.
