Edit the selection list 'properties'
Select the Add property description
button at the right bottom of the Properties
tab of the Product data window. A new
window will be displayed, where you can add or edit the Properties, displayed in
the selection list.
Add a new property
- Select the button New. The fields will be cleared and the cursor
placed in the Description field.
- Enter the new Document name. You may give same explanation in the remarks
field.
Some examples: PMax -> Max pressure, Tmax -> Max temperature, T range ->
Temperature range (i.e. for thermometer), Weight, Color, etc.
- Select the Save button to save the changes.
- Select the Close button. Now you are on the Properties tab again.
Click with your mouse on the cell in the 'property' column. The list with
possible properties does now contain the new property, and is selectable.

Note
The most important rules for creating a new property are:
The description must be easy to find back for other users for detailed
search criteria.
Try to reduce the number of properties in the database.
Add only the properties that are relevant for you company.
Edit an existing document type
- Select the property that you want to edit from the list. The data will now
be displayed in the field.
- Move the cursor to the 'Property description' field, by clicking it.
- Start typing. You will get the question if you want to edit the data.
Select the 'Yes' button.
The changes you make now will also apply for other products that already
have this property selected.
- Select the Save button to save the changes.
Delete a document type
- Select the property that you want to edit from the list. The data will now
be displayed in the field.
- Select the Delete button. You will get a message when this property
is linked to a product. In that case you can not delete this property. You
will first have to remove it from every product.
