Export products to an export package

In order to export products, the products should be displayed in the search results window.

1. Make sure that products are displayed at the search results
   • By pressing the find button in the toolbar. If there are no selection criteria, all products of the database will be displayed.
   • or make a selection based on search criteria

2. Eventually you can limit the selection further by clicking on the record selector of the product.

   Only the selected products will then be exported. If you keep the <ctrl> button pressed, you can add more products to the selection. If you do not select any products, all products of the search results will be exported. 
3. Select Export wizard in the menu File.
   The export window will now be displayed
4. Select 'Export package' at Select export type.
   If you have selected products at step 2, at selection you will get the opportunity to indicate if you want to export only the selection
   Click Next. The next window will be displayed. 
5. Select the folder in which you want to save the Export package
   • At Target folder you can type the path of the folder
   • You can also double click on the folder with the left mouse button.  You will see the folder being opened and the path appearing in Target folder. 

   Click Next.

    

   • If the folder does not yet exist, you will get the question if you want to make it. Click Ok. 
   • If the folder already exists and there is already a database in it, you will get the question if you want to replace it. 
     - Click No if you want to overwrite the existing database
     - Click Yes if you want to add the products to the existing database. 

   The next screen will now be displayed.

6. Select the data groups, that you want to be exported. These groups correspond to the tabs in the product data window.
   The item General must be marked, otherwise there will not be any export of products.
   
   Click Next
7. If you wish to save the settings, that you made in the wizzard window, for next time, you can mark the section Save these settings (Default).
   
   Click Finish. The wizzard will now export the products and will keep a report with any errors. 

If errors occur regarding template files, which cannot be found, you should copy the files concerned to the template folder. 

The following template files are necessary for the creation of the export package. 

• Product.tmp:    Template database file.
• Product.tms:    Template system file, with user information.

At Options in the menu Extra you can set the location of the template files.
