Edit a product

Select a product from the search results, by clicking the record selector once.

Follow the next steps to edit existing product data.

• Select the Properties button from the toolbar. The product data window will be displayed.
• Change if necessary the data at the following tabs.
  1. General tab
     Edit here the general product data that MatStream use for main the search criteria.
     The field Series/type number may not be left empty, otherwise the product can not be saved.
  2. Properties tab
     Edit here the properties of a product. These properties can be used for the 'detailed search criteria'.
  3. Suppliers tab
     Edit one or more supplier for the product with supplier specific product data.
  4. Documents tab
     Attached documents can be edited at this tab.
  5. Remarks
     Place your remarks at the remarks tab.
• Select the Ok or Apply button to save your changes.

When using Product Information Center in a multi user environment, permissions can be set for user groups. It may be possible that you don't have enough permissions to edit existing product data. When the fields are disabled and the Unlock button of the toolbar is also disabled, then you don't have enough permissions to edit the product data.
