Settings header tab

Select Page settings from the File menu. The window Page properties will be displayed. Select the Header tab.

On this tab, the header text of your bill of materials can be set.
You only have to set the header text once because MatStream uses variables. These variables are substituted by real values that have been entered at the General, Properties and Revisions tabs. You can also select variables for date and page numbers.

The header text also consist like the header text of three columns.
You can add the header text by add or edit the text in the text boxes indicated with  "Left", "Center" and "Right".

Adding variables to the text.

• enter to one of the three text boxes the text "Page "
• Position the cursor right after the entered text.
• Select from the selection list the variable that you want to insert. In this example "Page"
• Select the Add button. The variable will be inserted after the text "Page ". the result is now  "Page &[Page]

When this bill of materials will be printed, then the variable &[Page] will be replaced by the appropriate page number.
for the other variables that are selectable from the list it works the same.

Save as default

It is possible save the entered header text as default. When you do this, this header text will be used for new bills of materials. Only the values at the General, Properties and Revisions tab have to be added or changed.

Reload default

The text that have been saved with the Save as default can be manually reloaded.
You can set the header text and save it as default. Then go to an other bill of materials and reload the entered header text with the Reload default button. Using Save as default will save the settings locally on your pc. These settings don't affect other users.

Selectable variables:

• The values entered at the General tab
• The values entered at the Properties tab
• The revision data entered at the Revision tab
• "Date" for the date of the day the bill of materials is printed
• "Time" for the time when the bill of materials is printed
• "Page" for the page number
• "Pages" for the total quantity of pages

The variables will only be displayed in the selection list if there is a value entered for it on one of the tabs.
