Exporting bills of materials

MatStream can export a bill of materials in different formats with the export wizard.

Select Export wizard from the File menu to open the export wizard.

Your bill of materials can be exported as one of the following ways.

• Export Package
  When you export your bill of materials as an export package, all the data including the attached product data and documentation will be copied to an export map.
• Open MS Access 97 Database file
  This export function creates a MS Access 97 database file with the data of your bill of materials. The product data and the documentation will NOT be included. This database file is not protected by a password, and can be opened by other Access 97 users.
• Comma delimited text file
  Your bill of materials will be exported as a text file. The data will be separated by the comma sign.
• Tab delimited text file
  Same as Comma delimited text file, but now the separating sign is a Tab character.
• Drawing Exchange format File
  A standard used for the exchange of drawings. This format can be imported in for instance AutoCAD™. This option is useful if you want the bill of materials to be converted to a drawing.
