Copy a column
Copying columns is a two step procedure. First you copy the data to the Windows
clipboard, second you copy the data from the clipboard to the application.
Copying column data to the clipboard
- Select the column that you want to copy, by clicking on the column header
once. It is possible to select more columns, for this select a second column,
while keeping the <shift> button pressed. All columns in between the
first and second column will be selected.
- Select Copy from the Edit menu. The column data will be copied
to the Windows clipboard.
The column data on the clipboard is also available for other applications
like spreadsheets.
Pasting the column data to a bill of materials.
- Select a column in your bill of materials where you want the new column to
be inserted.
- Select Paste from the Edit menu. The column that has been
copied to the clipboard, will be inserted after the column you have just
selected. It is possible to move the column after it has been inserted. See
for more information moving
columns.
It is not possible to paste a type number column or a quantity total column
to a bill of materials where such a column already exist. These 'special'
columns can only exist ones per bill of materials. The data type of these
columns will be changed to "No data field" when they are pasted.
