Open a bill of materials

Select Open from the File menu. The window to open existing bills of materials will be displayed.

1. Click with the mouse on the + sign of the project map in where the bill of materials is located. The project map will be opened and the bills of materials it contains will be shown. If there is not a + sign visible, then the project map is empty.
2. Select the bill of materials by clicking it.
3. If necessary select the read-only check box.
   When a bill of materials is opened as read-only, then it is not editable by you. On the other hand, an other colleague can open it as editable. This option might be useful for someone who don't have to edit the bill of materials, but only need the information in it like a draftsman. 
4. Select the Open button. The bill of materials will be opened and displayed.

The bills of materials and the project maps are saved in the database and can not be found as seperate files on your hard disk or network drives.

You can export a bill of materials if you want to send it to a client for instance. When your client have installed the shareware version of MatStream, then he can import the bill of materials.
