Copying rows

Copying rows is a two step procedure. First you copy the data to the Windows clipboard, second you copy the data from the clipboard to the application.

Copying the row data to the clipboard
  1. Select the row you want to copy, by clicking with the mouse on the row selector once. You can select multiple rows by selecting another row while pressing the <shift> button of your keyboard. All rows in between will be selected.
  2. Select Copy from the Edit menu. All the selected row data will be copied to the clipboard.

The row data on the clipboard is also available for other programs like a spreadsheet application.

Pasting rows from the clipboard into the bill of materials
  1. Select an empty row in your bill of materials, or insert a new row into your bill of materials.
  2. Select Paste from the Edit menu.  The row you have copied to the clipboard will now be copied to the bill of materials.

Make sure that when you copy data from a spreadsheet, the columns match with the columns of the bill of materials. When there are type numbers copied to the type number column, MatStream will try to recognize them, complete the row and link them to a product group.
