Database tab

Select Options from the Extra menu. The Options window will be displayed. Select the Database tab.

The following options can be set on the Database tab.

• Default database (This setting is saved locally on your pc)
  You can change the database location (not applicable for the shareware version). When you have changed this setting, you will be asked when applying the changes, if you want to logon to this database.
• Automatic compression (This setting is saved in the database)
  • Back-up location: select the directory, where you want the backup to be saved before compressing. See also Database compression
  • Compression interval: give the interval in days before the database have to be compressed again. The default for the Bill Of Materials database is 2 days.
• Product Information Database location (This setting is saved in the database)
  This setting refers to the product database that supports the Bill Of Materials database. Only one product database can be attached to the Bill Of Materials Database. This setting can only be changed when the Bill Of Materials database is empty. Also the sample bills of materials have to be removed.
   

Settings that are saved in the database file will also apply for other users of this database.
